Mary brings 30 years of business transformational experience applying innovative software and technology solutions to meet complex business goals in a variety of corporate and consulting roles across various areas including R&D, Telecommunications, Software Development (Financial), ERP deployments in Academics (Purchase-to-Pay), Utility (Customer, Financials, Supply Chain), Manufacturing (Training), Workforce Scheduling and, Regulatory Change (NERC CIP v5). Her extensive experience in the technology world, starting in research, evolving to technology solution development and then implementation (DB2, SAP, PeopleSoft), learning first hand “the how” to do it, as well as the fallout when the solution falls short of meeting stakeholders expectations.
Mary has had tremendous success in operational roles which include leading an SAP consulting practice ($15million P&L). At Allstream and UofT, Mary’s role was that of business lead for Customer Service and Purchase-to-Pay project teams (Allstream and UofT); at 724 Solutions, Mary supported major US and Canadian financial clients with leading-edge financial web apps sales and services, ensuring account growth. At Hydro One, Mary’s role was that of an indirect / influencer leader, creating project-based cross-functional business teams and selecting consulting teams to drive technology and Change program deliverables.
For the last several years, Mary has found a sweet spot in applying Change Management practices to improve the acceptance of business change, whether as a result of a technology system decision, a regulatory change or a culture shift initiative.
She is well skilled in facilitating stakeholder assessments at Executive, Management, Operations and staff (union and non-union) levels and in defining people, process and organizational benefit expectations for various projects and initiatives.
Mary is a Certified Supply Chain Management Professional (SCMP) and a PROSCI Change Management Professional, with 5 years of practical hands-on experience in applying a hybrid change methodologies tailored to the business situation. Mary brings her curiosity to the table, paired with listening and proven practices to help stakeholders answer the question, “Will/Does this solution fit my business” and for the managers and users, the question, “What’s in it for me?”
