Principal Consultant

Steve is an IT professional and experienced management consultant with several years as a technology leader. He specializes in business applications, IT-related process improvement and information risk management. With Prompta, he has authored a unique, continuous improvement “life cycle” tool to assess and guide organizations taking their Supplier Diversity programs to the next level.

He was the CIO of a professional services firm and the practice director of three top-tier consulting companies. Steve has led complex application software, process improvement and infrastructure projects for international, Fortune 100 companies. He managed a 60-person IT department and a 100-person consulting practice. Steve has been teaching PMP certification courses for several years and is a frequent expert contributor to independent research on IT disaster recovery.

​He is a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.), Certified Management Consultant (CMC), Project Management Professional (PMP) and a Member of the Business Continuity Institute (MBCI).

Marli Ramsey (She/Her)

Principal Consultant

Marli is a vibrant leader and passionate mentor, executive advisor, and management consultant with more than 25 years of experience architecting business transformations fuelled by new business models, technology implementations, and M&As, primarily in the financial services sector, manufacturing, and the public sector.

As an organizational change management strategist and leader, Marli has worked with executive and senior management teams to ensure the business is well prepared for change. She is an energetic facilitator and influencer capable of driving commitment amongst diverse stakeholders.

Much of her career has been devoted to diminishing the gap between the business and IT – encouraging the business to invite IT into the business conversation, and boosting the confidence of IT as a strategic business partner through the creation of IT strategies and organizations that demonstrate IT’s power to support business change.

In addition to her professional career, Marli is an active supporter of human rights and social justice for women and girls. She serves on the Board of Crossroads International and the Finance Committee, and spent eight years on the board of YWCA Toronto, including two years as board president. She currently chairs the Nominations Committee.

She holds an MBA, and is a Certified Management Consultant, as well as a Six Sigma Green Belt.

Ali Soleymaniha (He/Him)

Behnaz Gholami (She/Her)

Behnaz believes that “change” is an inevitable process for each business and organization. Therefore, she is passionate about helping people and organizations to perceive a “change” as an exciting journey!
Behnaz has years of experience in different aspects of change management and business transformation. As an expert, she prepares, equips, and supports individuals and organizations to successfully adopt a “change” to drive organizational success and outcomes. During her experience, she dealt with implementing various organizational change management program life-cycles and focused on developing solutions to diverse technical and intellectual problems during an organizational transition or transformation.

Behnaz holds a PhD in Business, an MBA in IT Management, and BEng in Software Programming. She has proven analytical skills and research abilities, and an outstanding record of publications and presentations in accredited outlets and conferences.
She also works on “mindfulness at work” which she believes can enormously help employees accept, embrace, and go successfully through a change.

Jacqueline Gould (She/Her)

Jacqueline helps individuals and organizations create new paths to success. She brings over thirty years of management experience to her work as an organization development consultant, learning and development facilitator, succession plan developer, and coach. She developed Switching Gears, a retirement lifestyle program and ReCareering for people who want a career change and have no idea what they want to do next. With a colleague, she developed and facilitates Competitive Agility, a program for smart business owners who want to grow their business. Owners and the management team are able to break their vision down into what is most important with a 12 – week plan for accomplishing that goal.

Jacqueline has extensive experience coaching within organizations and with individuals. She started coaching troubled youth, moved to a coaching style as a manager, coached top talent being groomed to move into senior positions and worked as a career coach. She rounds out her portfolio with experience in conflict strategies, succession planning programs, learning strategy, employee engagement / retention and transition coaching.

Armed with her experience as a COO which allows her to appreciate the trials that most businesses face, Jacqueline helps organizations build a workplace of leaders able to address their own challenges successfully while assisting them with their business and transition objectives. Her creative time is spent knitting a southwest line of knitwear focused on the Zuni fetishes, making quilts for her great nieces and nephew, weaving on one of 3 looms or making jewelry. She enjoys teaching children to sew, knit or many other crafts in which kids love to get involved! Glue anyone?!

Colleen Quinn (She/Her)

Phil Buckley (He/Him)

Phil Buckley is senior change management professional with twenty-five years of experience helping leaders and their teams align mindsets, actions and behaviours to achieve new and challenging goals. He has managed thirty-two large-scale change projects for national and global organizations based in Canada, US, and UK.

Career highlights include co-leading global change management for the $19.6billion Kraft Foods acquisition of Cadbury with a team of forty change leads across sixty countries. His change assignments include mergers and acquisitions, demergers, organization restructurings, efficiency drives, culture initiatives, business model developments, strategy creation and deployments, downsizings, systems implementations, and organizational capability developments. Alfonso Marcelo Romo (He/Him)

Vidya Sri (She/They)

Vidya Sri (she/they) is an Equity, Diversity, Inclusion Consultant with a combined fifteen years of teaching, workshop facilitation, and community development experience. She holds a Master of Education in Adult Education and Community Development from the University of Toronto with specializations in Workplace Learning and Social Change, and South Asian Studies.

Vidya has successfully delivered numerous workshops under the umbrella of Diversity-Equity-Inclusion, Mental Health Awareness, and 2SLGBTQIA+ awareness for community members at Queen’s University, University of Toronto, GoodLife Fitness, GoodLife4Kids Foundation, and Toronto Centre of Learning and Development (CL&D). Through her work at CL&D, she helped to build the first online Global Citizen Social Justice Course, framed around multifaceted, and intersectional lenses of: social justice, anti-oppression, and community empowerment.

Mary Travaglini (She/Her)

Mary Travaglini started her Human Resource and Change Management career in the Canadian Forces, where she was posted to bases across Canada. As the first female member of three operational squadrons, she effectively built relationships in difficult environments and helped open Squadrons to gender diversification.

After the Canadian Forces, Mary expanded her Human Resource and Change Management career by working in the corporate world for companies such as Manulife Financial, Legg Mason Canada, and Royal & SunAlliance. She returned to Manulife on numerous occasions to work in Change Management in a variety of departments.

Her desire to serve led her back to a contract with the United Nations and Care Canada in the former Yugoslavia during the Civil War.

Mary’s most recent experience has been in the charitable sector where she served as Vice President, Administration & Human Resources, and eventually Interim President & CEO for The Healing Cycle Foundation.

Most recently, Mary has been working as a Change Management and Human Resource Consultant in the not-for-profit sector.

Mary Jacobs (She/Her)

Donald Mak (He/Him)

Donald is the quintessential problem solver. His critical thinking skills, process-oriented approach, and his multi-disciplinary and cross-industry experience often make him sought out as the go-to person to “get things done”. He brings 10+ years of experience as a management consultant and product commercialization professional to deliver actionable plans and sustainable results to his clients.

He has empowered numerous organizations with major digital transformations, from developing business and technology strategies, selecting and implementing enterprise applications (ERP, CRM, HCM, ITSM), redesigning and optimizing business processes, and to delivering go-to-market strategies for a portfolio of products. 

Donald is led by purpose-driven work. He has led organizations such as TEDxYouth@Toronto and Shine PwC (a LGBTQ+ resource group). Having returned from a year-long trip to Latin America, Donald is more driven than ever to help fight the climate crisis especially by being involved in the emerging CleanTech industry.

Peter Babiak (He/Him)

Dr. Begum Verjee, Ed.D., M.Ed., PCC (She/Her)

Begum Verjee is an accredited Professional Certified Coach (PCC) with the International Coaching Federation (ICF), and completed her coach training with the Faculty of Coaching at the Adler Graduate Professional School, Toronto, an accredited coach training program. As a coach, she is a co-active partner who inspires her clients to lead with clarity and purpose, and deliver results through self-reflection, feedback, and accountability. She has worked in the Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (JEDI) space for over 30 years as a consultant, trainer, and educator, and brings her extensive leadership experience in a range of industry settings to her client sessions. Prior to establishing herself as a coach, Begum held several leadership positions in the post-secondary sector, including VP & Director level positions. Maha Elhindawy (She/Her)

Maha has led change management strategies and execution for major business transformations and technology implementations. Katie Isbister (She/Her)

Katie is a Certified Executive Coach with over 25 years’ experience in leadership development, facilitation and consultation in mid to large size organizations. Katie’s background as a business leader, psychotherapist and consultant allows her to bring an unusual depth of insight, intuition and experience to her work with organizations.  Katie specializes in challenging leaders to leverage their strengths while at the same time ensuring that they identify and address internal and external barriers to development. Katie was previously the Enterprise Director of Employee Engagement Initiatives, Employee Assistance Programs and Corporate Values for the Bank of Montreal. In this role, Katie developed enterprise processes to maximize employee engagement, contributed to the development of emotional intelligence competencies in leadership training, provided executive and leadership coaching focused on the Bank’s competency model and facilitated the de-briefing of a variety of 360 assessments. Previously, she was a Graphic and Web Designer at The Beach Guild of Fines Arts where she utilized her multifaceted set of skills as a content creator, creative writer, designer and website editor towards a project for BGFA’s Summer and Winter Virtual Art Show. She effectively communicated with executive members, artists and their audiences to understand their pain points and created a transparent experience for them online. This was a crucial step for The Beach Guild of Fine Art from moving from physical art shows to a virtual setting during the pandemic.

She is passionate about creating a user-friendly experience and ideating strategic solutions from UX research and being empathetic while keeping the goals of prioritizing the stakeholders. She believes that digital products should play a role that helps the user complete their goals online in an efficient manner. Limiting distractions from user experiences is her primary intention, for users should have the freedom to spend their energy elsewhere, within the moment.

As an experienced artist, Arielle likes to spend quality time on her own, expressing her vision and thoughts through the mediums of water colour, polymer clay, and digital paintings. DIY or making things herself is a therapeutic process for her and she loves making soaps, candles, jewelry and recipes or anything else that fits underneath the umbrella of craftsmanship.

Cynthia Barlow (She/Her)

Communication Specialist

Cynthia Barlow has been driving authentic, emotionally intelligent conversations for thirty years. She assists leaders and the people who report to them to communicate more effectively so that they collaborate more productively.

Having designed and conducted leadership development and facilitation programs for a wide variety of clients, she brings a wealth of people knowledge and process experience to the table, enabling her to cut to the heart of issues quickly, clearly, and compassionately.

Sometimes the most important conversations are based on what wasn’t said. Cynthia helps people put words to what needs to be voiced in a way that others can better hear, interpret, and respond to the essential message, not the static that might surround it. This skill set has allowed Cynthia to travel the globe working with regional, national, and multinational companies.

Leanne Leung (She/Her)

Digital Marketing Coordinator

Leanne works with people to create their brand stories into fruition. She consistently works towards bridging intersectionality and equity into impactful inclusive dialogue through communications work.

Leanne holds a Honours Bachelors of Arts in Sociology and Political Science from University of Toronto. She is currently studying for here post-graduate certificate in Strategic Relationship Marketing at George Brown.

Outside of Prompta and academia, Leanne loves cafe hopping, traveling, reading and picnicking in the sun.
